The Portuguese Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Fisheries, Jaime Silva, will be present on Tuesday, 11 September, at the Commission for Environment, Food Safety and Public Health of the European Parliament.

In Brussels, the minister will set forth the programme of the Portuguese Presidency in the area of food safety. His speech is scheduled for 16:00.

It should be noted that this participation occurs before the Informal Meeting of Ministers of Agriculture, scheduled for 16, 17 and 18 September, at the Alfândega do Porto.
